As always, we found a great roadside cafe for breakfast and people watching!

We took off walking to see what we could see before our 1:00 tour of the Louvre! Just by chance, we happened on a palace — the Domaine National Du Palais-Royal! The grounds were beautiful,

they had a display very similar to Chicago’s Bean, and

we even timed it perfectly to see a beautiful bride!

The courtyard was magnificent and filled to the max with people! (We learned it was the start of a two-week school break.)
On our way to the Louvre, we spotted the Big Wheel on Place de la Concorde!
And there she was— the Louvre! We found our tour group and lined up to enter!
Our tour guide, Hugo, was ADORABLE!!! The artwork was unbelievable! See for yourselves! No need for me to say more!
The last item we saw was the Mona Lisa—despite the crowd going crazy once she was in sight, it was truly something to behold!
We were EXHAUSTED after the tour and we all were yearning a brewski! They certainly hit the spot, as did the pate and cheese plate! Wonderful (and well earned) Happy Hour!!!
