HAPPY HALLOWEEN AND ANOTHER DAY AT SEA!

Image
We booked a tour of the kitchen this morning!  No big deal — just a kitchen that serves over 3,000 guests three meals a day, plus room service 24 hours a day! 😳😳😳 It was amazing to see — the quantities, the organization, the cleanliness (the smiles)! After the tour we were served a delicious brunch!  John went back to the room to crash (he’s caught a cold, darn it!) while I found a lounger in the sun on the top deck and read!  It sure felt good to RELAX!  (As much as one could relax with all the pool activities, music and The Sexiest Man Contest going on!)  John and I opted to go to the buffet for dinner (to keep him from exposing anyone) and were delighted to see all the Halloween decor and people wearing costumes aboard! (Ooops, no pics were taken of the really good stuff!) I met up with Patte and Mike for the show—which highlighted the singers and dancers aboard and was fantastic! (Sorry, John, but you missed a good one!) We (Patte, Mike, John and I) would...

BEAUTIFUL TAORMINA BY LAND AND SEA IN SICILY, ITALIY!

Image
We knew at first glance that we were going to LOVE being back in Italy!  And Sicily—a first for all of us! After a bit of a bus trip (but a beautiful one at that) we arrived in Taormina and boarded a boat to ride in the Ionian Sea!  Breathtaking!  (The sunny, 80 degree day certainly helped to make it extra special!) This was the Cave of Love with the upside down heart (look closely!), and this was the Blu Cave (can you tell why that is?), and, finally, the Orange Coral Cave. We spotted young folk (idiots) jumping into the water! Mike and Patte braved the cold waters (at least their toes did)!  They said that was far enough! We all enjoyed the ride, the sights and the weather! Beautiful beaches were everywhere (but oh so rocky)! A shrimp boat came by — never saw one that looked like this!  Our driver told us the local shrimp are small but delicious! We caught a final glimpse of Mount Aetna—an active volcano that rises about Sicily.  It is magnificent looking...

A DAY AT SEA!

Image
A day at sea meant RELAXATION and SUNSHINE and RELAXATION!  And that meant the PERFECT DAY!  (We’ve earned it!) The sun was shining and the sky was bright! A Metabolism Workshop was held (we attended), as well as a belly flop contest poolside (we did NOT participate), followed by music in the Promenade (and drinks, don’t forget the drinks—we DID participate!)!   We attended an ice skating show, which was AMAZING, (I mean, it was REALLY amazing!!!), followed by the headliner show, The Tenors Unlimited.  WOWOHWOW!  What a fabulous show! All four of us LOVED the day at sea!  And we get to do it again after tomorrow’s stop: SICILY, ITALY!  (It is supposed to be blue skies, full sunshine and 80 degrees!) Sicily, I 💖 you already!
