THE ACROPOLIS; THE PARTHENON; PLAKA AND PSYRI!

Oh, how we enjoyed a lazy morning with coffee, a view of the Acropolis, feet resting on the table (a Lange tradition) and the sun shining down on us!  It was here on our balcony that we planned our day!

First up was, of course, the Acropolis!  We met our guide, Athena (how appropriate was that), halfway up the Acropolis.  She led a wonderful tour and left us with some suggestions on what to see after she navigated us through the Parthenon.  It was AMAZING!

One of the exits led us straight to an adorable area called Plaka (second on our list of must sees), that had shops and restaurants and lots and lots of people!

We stopped for a wonderful Greek lunch and got to practice our “Efaristas”!

Nothing made my sister happier than spotting a gelato stand! (🤣🤣🤣)

We stopped for Happy Hour at a place called 360, a rooftop bar that had awesome views of the area!  Above our heads was (Can you guess?) the Acropolis!   Man oh man, did those beers hit the spot!

Then off we meandered to a new and upcoming area called Psyri (it was delightful), where we stopped for a wonderful dinner back in Plaka and Ubered back to our Airbnb!

What a great first day we had in Athens, Greece!  A bottle of wine later and we were all asleep in our comfy beds!
