What can I say? It was a wonderful start to a new (final) day in Greece! John and Mike took off to do laundry,
while Patte and I enjoyed yet another cup of coffee on the balcony,
overlooking (you know what) the Acropolis!
We enjoyed a delicious lunch in Psyri and jumped on the BigBus to take the city tour. (This time WITH audio!)
At the end of the tour we happened upon a Greek Flea Market! It was quite the thing to see, and reminded John and I of the souks in Dubai!
Patte and Mike enjoyed pre-dinner dessert with gelato!
We chose a darling restaurant in Plaka and, with the number of people walking around, decided a ship or two must be in port! We enjoyed our FAVORITE (and last) dinner in Athens!
When we were leaving, our waiter came up and told us to “wait, please!” He proceeded to bring a round of drinks to “sip slowly” and were they ever delish! YAMAS, everyone! (That would be “cheers” in Greek!)
Tomorrow we (sadly) bid farewell to our adorable Airbnb, the bustling streets of Athens, and, most importantly, to the infamous Acropolis! However, we are all SUPER EXCITED to board the Explorer of the Seas in the morning! Next stop: Mykonos, Greece!
